BMW continues to stretch the Rolls-Royce range every which way (have they confused it with the 3-series famiy?) and today it unveils the new Phantom Coupe. Think of it as a two-door gentleman’s express built for the mega-rich to waft unscathed through the credit crunch. You won't confuse its lineage, that's for sure.
Following on from the low-slung Fetish EV sports car, Venturi has released this, the America. Utilizing the same 300bhp equivalent battery powertrain, the America evolves the Fetish's technologies and looks to the future of the small-scale French manufacturer. The bespoke carbon monocoque chassis forms part of the America's bodywork, with the rest being made up of two separate deformable 'cells'.

Audi keep on dragging versions of their e-Tron out at any given opportunity, usually focusing on a different take on some form or other of electric and/or hybrid propulsion. Our favourite so far has been the Audi A1 e-Tron, which may seem odd to those of you who know of our penchant for the fast and exotic. But hybrid cars are best suited to urban environments – even more so electric cars – and the Audi A1 e-Tron’s combination of electric motors and a range-extending Wankel engine really floated our urban boat.
